In the first week of October 2025, six Bangladeshi newspapers carried feature interviews with Monika — three of them on the front page. For an international reader, the number and the shape of it is the point: six national features in a single week.

Sumaia Khanom Monika is a Bangladeshi vocalist, performing artist and brand ambassador with close to a decade on stage. As lead vocalist of Wing of Dusk, she performs with a full live band across cultural festivals, corporate events and public concerts, including the Navy Open Air Concerts — one of Bangladesh’s largest annual open-air music platforms. Her repertoire moves between Rabindra Sangeet, contemporary Bengali pop and English-language covers. In October 2025 she was the subject of feature interviews in six Bangladeshi national newspapers.
Her recordings are distributed worldwide through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Deezer, where she holds Verified Artist status. She is based in Dhaka and available for international bookings.
Sumaia Khanom Monika belongs to a generation of Bangladeshi artists who grew up between two musical worlds — the Rabindra Sangeet and folk traditions that shaped Bengali identity, and the global pop, R&B and indie music that arrived through a phone screen. She has spent close to a decade learning to move between them without losing either.
Born in Dhaka and raised in Mirpur, Monika came to music through her father, and began performing publicly as a teenager. She has since built a live career across cultural festivals, institutional programmes and the corporate event circuit. As lead vocalist of Wing of Dusk she fronts a full band — guitar, bass and drums — and has performed at the Navy Open Air Concerts, among Bangladesh’s largest annual open-air music events, alongside a steady schedule of annual general meetings, award nights and private cultural programmes.
In October 2025, six Bangladeshi national newspapers carried feature interviews with her within a single week, three of them on the front page.
Her recorded catalogue includes original material and reinterpreted classics — among them Bhalobashar Morshum, Majhe Majhe Tobo, O Je Mane Na Mana and Mayabono Biharini — distributed internationally through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer and iTunes. She is a Spotify Verified Artist.
Alongside performance, Monika works as a brand ambassador across music, fashion and lifestyle, bringing to campaigns something an influencer alone cannot: the credibility of a working performer with a live audience. She continues to build toward an international career — one that carries Bengali musical heritage outward rather than setting it aside. Monika is based in Dhaka and available for performances, campaigns and collaborations worldwide.
